Dieting For Idiots
December 14th, 2010You need not be a health freak in order to follow a diet. Dieting can be a natural, seamless, and casual part of your life, requiring very little conscious effort. Believe it or not, you can lose significant amounts of weight very rapidly without having to struggle or sacrifice.
The calorie shifting diet is one of those “dieting for idiots” regimens that offers a very simple solution for weight loss that requires virtually no sacrifice, no struggle, no discipline, and even allows you the leeway and flexibility to “cheat” on the diet. While on this diet, you can expect to lose 9 pounds every 11 days.
This diet has a few very simple rules:
You must generate a personalized meal plan that you will be following for 11 consecutive days. (The significance of the number 11 will be explained below.) You are required to eat four full meals every day. You can eat any of your four meals from your personalized meal plan in any order that you want on each day. Each meal must be spaced out by at least 2.5 to 3 hours. You are allowed to eat as much food as you want at each meal until you are completely satisfied, but not too full. You are required to take a mandatory 3-day “cheat break” from the diet every 2 weeks. Hence, you diet for 11 days and take a break for 3 days, before you resume the diet again for another 11 days.
What’s on this personalized meal plan? Pretty much everything. While on this diet, you can expect to eat plentiful food from all four food groups.
How can you expect to lose weight so rapidly if you can eat as much as you want from all four food groups? The secret lies in the shifting calories theory. According to this theory, you can manipulate your body’s metabolism at will to induce fat burning, simply by rearranging the types of calories that you consume and shifting them rotationally from meal to meal, over the course of each day. In doing so, you are simulating a sustained nutritional deficit that prompts your metabolism to compensate by burning through your fat stores, even though you are actually eating plentifully. It’s not the quantity of the food that you eat, but when you eat which foods that you do, that causes the weight loss.
With rules as flexible as those enumerated above, with results as fast as those achievable on this plan, this truly is what you would call “dieting for idiots”.
